Could spiritual opposition signal that God is preparing to move powerfully? Absolutely.

The spiritual warfare leading up to the Alegrete crusade in Southern Brazil was intense. The region is well known for its high rate of witchcraft and heartbreaking numbers of believers drifting from faith. Reports reached us of witch doctors gathering at our crusade location to cast spells to stop the crusade, a desperate attempt by darkness to stop God’s plan. Yet nothing can stand in the way of the Gospel!

My journey to reach Alegrete was wild: two flights from the U.S. canceled by dust storms, eleven exhausting hours driving to catch another flight, a seven-hour bus ride across Brazil, and even a night spent in a shipping container. But all the hardship faded when God manifested His glory!

During our Soul Winners Conference, I experienced something special for the first time in my life: The Glory Cloud visibly filled the room, unmistakably seen and felt by every person present. It was like a fog hovering over the people. The atmosphere was saturated with God’s presence, and even the children were filled with the Holy Spirit! It was a moving experience, and it seemed there wasn’t a single dry eye in the crowd.

We reached over 23,000 people at the crusade itself, approximately a third of the city’s population. 3,182 made the life-changing decision to follow Christ! The miraculous presence of Jesus was undeniable: over 20 deaf people regained hearing, a child born blind saw for the first time, and many left their crutches and canes behind, walking freely and praising God. It was like in the book of Acts!

The enemy’s desperation reached a chilling climax when a young man, probably a Satanist, attempted to go on stage with a butcher’s knife to attack me.

But God’s hand was upon our team, and the attacker was stopped before a tragedy happened.

Dear partner,  because of your prayers and financial support, we were able to reach an entire city with the Gospel—and by God’s grace, my life was protected in the midst of intense spiritual warfare. Thank you for being part of this incredible move of God!
