The region is well known for its high rate of witchcraft and heartbreaking numbers of believers drifting from faith. Reports reached us of witch doctors gathering at our crusade location to cast spells to stop the crusade, a desperate attempt by darkness to stop God’s plan. Yet nothing can stand in the way of the Gospel!

Our first crusade of 2025 took me to the remote town of El Fata, Ethiopia—a place where the church had been silenced for five long years due to a violent guerrilla war. The region is extremely poor, with homes built of mud, but none of that could compare to the hunger for God we encountered.
